Hello All!

Thanksgiving is approaching and we wanted to give you all an update about the progress we’ve been making over the past month since our Kickstarter wrapped up. We are thankful to have you as our backers. Here’s a quick update before the holidays are upon us.  We’ll be gathering addresses for those of you who have selected ordered glow-in-the-dark stickers in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

Casing Manufacturing
We’ve been having many conversations with our casing production partner to discuss evolutions to the:

• Bottom-Top closing mechanism
• Circuity placement and assembly
• Additional updates based on circuitry adjustments

In addition, we visited our prototyping partners and tested materials for the final prototype that we’ll be making before manufacturing. Currently we’re doing short test runs using a new type of material that is more akin to our final plastic.  This will hopefully help us confirm the very detailed design issues before we start mold manufacturing.

Materials
We started receiving material and texture samples. We are looking into materials that have the right balance of softness and rigidity and also that have good diffusion. We’ve also been looking into texture samples and trying to find the best tactile feeling for the material we’ll use in Tangeez.

Electronics Manufacturing
We are making improvements to our circuit to extend the battery life and light quality. We are testing new parts as we speak and working towards our final prototype. We are also re-designing our circuit to align with the updates on the plastic casing.
